Wondering what colors to wear for your summer family photos? I’ve created some style boards to show a few great color combinations that work well for a variety of outdoor locations in New Jersey.
What Colors to Wear for Summer Family Photos
You’ll notice that several of the suggestions feature muted tones of blue. Although blue happens to be one of my favorite colors, that’s not why I often suggest it as a part of a color scheme for family photos. Blue is a versatile color that is flattering for a variety of skin tones. It also photographs well against green leaves and grass, as well as beach settings. The key is to choose more muted tones of blue. Think dusty blues with gray tones, or deeper shades of blue including navy or teal. Balance blues with neutrals like tan, cream and beige. For a more romantic look, pair blue with blush, mauve or lavender. Earthy tones like rust and brown also pair nicely with blue.
