What is a Petite Session?

Traditional “mini sessions” are often hyper-condensed—usually 15 minutes—scheduled back-to-back at a single set location. While quick, they can sometimes feel a bit like a conveyor belt, leaving very little buffer if a toddler needs a moment to warm up or traffic runs late.

My Petite Sessions are designed to give you the convenience of a shorter session without the rush.

• Duration: ~ 20-25 minutes
• Best For: Families with older kids or teens, couples, quick annual portrait updates, or camera-confident little ones.
• The Vibe: Efficient, focused, and relaxed, capturing a core collection of timeless family portraits.

When a Petite Session May Make Sense

1. An only child under 5 who transitions quickly and can stay engaged for a quick 20-25-minute window.
2. Naturally easygoing kids who adapt quickly to new faces without needing extra buffer time.
3. Tweens, teens, or high school seniors can follow prompt-based directions easily without needing time to break the ice.
4. Zero “warm-up” time needed: Your kids are instantly comfortable in front of a lens and don’t require buffer time to play, run around, or settle into the environment.
5. A single backdrop location: You prefer a quick, beautiful set of images in one set spot over exploring varied scenery.
6. A streamlined collection of core moments: You want a tight, beautiful set of authentic portraits for frames or holiday cards—saving the unhurried, play-based pacing, candid storytelling, and artistic variety for a Full Session.

If your spouse or teens have a self-proclaimed ’30-minute photo limit,’ a Petite Session is your best friend. It’s fast-paced, fun, and over before anyone has time to check their watch!

What is a Full-Length Session?

A Full-Length Session is an immersive, unhurried lifestyle experience designed to capture the full story of your family in this season of life.

• Duration: Up to 60–90 minutes (guided by natural golden-hour light).
• Best For: Families with toddlers, large or extended families, high school seniors wanting custom editorial styling, or families who prefer a relaxed, play-based approach with a diverse gallery of images.
• The Vibe: Easygoing, flexible, and play-focused with zero time pressure.

1. Toddlers, energetic siblings, or shy personalities: Let’s be honest—toddlers don’t operate on a countdown timer. Some days they need fifteen minutes just to investigate the grass, check out my camera, or have a quick snack. A Full Session gives us room for meltdowns, belly laughs, and snack breaks without anyone watching the clock.
2. A desire for rich storytelling and a diverse gallery: You want a wide, expressive gallery and time for unscripted, magical moments to unfold naturally—capturing the quiet snuggles, playful laughter, and genuine connections that make your family unique.
3. Custom location preferences: You want to shoot at a meaningful spot—whether that’s your own backyard, a favorite local farm, or a specific park—during that warm, magical late-afternoon sun.
